For the entire month of October, hundreds of artfully crafted scarecrows are displayed throughout the seaside villages of Cambria and San Simeon. It is truly a case of whimsy running rampant! PIEDRAS BLANCAS LIGHTHOUSE TOUR - 9:45 am
From SEPT. 1-JUNE14th tours are offered Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday. No reservations needed for groups less than 10 people. No tours offered on federal holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) $10 adults, $5 ages 6-17, no fee for ages 5 and under. Tours last about 2 hours and include a 1/2 mile of easy walking. Visitors meet at 9:45 a.m. at the former Piedras Blancas Motel located 1.5 miles north of the light station on Highway 1. Do not wait at the gate to the light station! Wheelchairs and strollers are available upon request. No pets. Tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Brats, Brew and Fun Coming Saturday, October 20! The Lions Club of Cambria and the Cambria Scarecrow Festival are joining forces to host OCTOBERFEST at the Pinedorado Grounds and the Vet’s Hall in Cambria. There will be Live music, photo booth station, a pumpkin patch will sell items from the fall harvest perfect for Halloween. For the kids, a face painter & a bounce house. Access to the grounds is free; food and drink are purchased separately. In the Vet’s Hall, running from 11 am to 5 pm, is a craft and art fair featuring local artisans. Again, admission is free. Coffee, water, and snacks will also be for sale within the hall.
